I'm in NYC for a few days to visit my sister. She'll be performing with her band, SHe, tonight at NYIT for a Cancer Benefit Event. I'm so excited!!! These ladies sound amazing and I can't wait to hear them sing live. I'm so proud of my sis ♥ Please come if you are around. It's for a great cause. Bread Heaven

How awesome would it be if we can get these personalized for each of our guests as "placecards" for a dinner party? :)

David Lebovitz recently wrote a wonderful post about Poilâne and it made me reminisce about our little visit there last year. The bread at Poilâne is wonderful. I wish we had time to try the open-faced sandwiches at Cuisine de Bar; their cafe next door. I guess there's always a reason to go back to Paris ;) Btw, I love David's blog. He has awesome pictures, recipes, and humorous posts about living in Paris. Definitely a must read if you love food and Paris!

Looking like Christmas

My little Christmas tree...I love the tiny Santas hehe

We had so much fun putting up our Christmas tree this past weekend; singing Christmas songs as we put on the ornaments :) I also have a little tree in my room too! There's just something about looking at the twinkling lights that fills my heart with such a happy warm feeling (cheesy I know but it is what it is! lol). Did you put your Christmas tree up yet?

Holiday Flavor

Beautiful peppermint rose. Btw, do you remember the Peppermint Rose cartoon back in the 90s? :)

Now that it's the holidays, have you had any peppermint-flavored goodies? I love making peppermint marshmallows and dropping them in a big mug of hot chocolate. The melted marshmallows slowly flavor the drink and it's heavenly. I must make some soon! Happy weekend everyone!

Another reason why I love Christmas so much is that I get to bake a ton of cookies for my friends and family. Deciding what to bake is so hard! There are so many new recipes to try in addition to old favorites. I need to make up my list soon. Christmas will be here before we know it! :)
